Brain-teasers

I started collecting brain-teasers and riddles to send my godson when I write letters to him. I usually write one or two on the envelopes and then write the answer inside in the letter or inside the envelope flap.

Now my four oldest grandchildren, 8-11, are crazy about them. It’s fun to watch them try to work out the answers or to see their reactions when they do not figure out the answers. Sometimes they also come up with good alternative responses.  Here are some favourites with mine.  Try some with yours:

What has a face and two hands but no arms or legs?

Regarding the 50-foot ladder: I pictured someone standing on it as it lay flat on the ground, then falling off that. 😉
