The mother of a migrant boy who died in U.S. custody after his father brought him along on the long, dangerous journey to the U.S. has explained why the father chose to bring his son with him. It was not to escape threats to his life. It was not because his life was in danger at home. It was because the father wanted a better job with more money to pay off his debts at home and the parents believed that if the father was accompanied by a child he had a better chance of making it through the immigration process.
The step-sister says the same thing: ““We heard rumors that they could pass (into the United States). They said they could pass with the children,” Catarina Gomez Lucas, Felipe’s 21-year-old stepsister, told the AP about why the boy and his father, Agustin Gomez, made the long and hazard-filled journey to the U.S.”

Incidentally, children died in immigration custody under Obama, too. You didn’t hear about it because nobody cared.
Last month alone, about a dozen children in the custody of New York state died as they do every month. Nobody cares. Never mind the number of foster children that simply disappear every year in this country.

Obamacare Program Has Led to More People Dying. As required by law, Medicare started penalizing hospitals for too many readmissions. Now mortality rates are up.
