Butterflies and poets

The camera is just a sepia toned shadow of the real image.  The butterfly (or moth) was far more brilliantly toned than shows here. It really reflected back the red of the gate.

Somehow, I was reminded of the Juan Carlos Williams poem:

so much depends
upon a red wheel barrow
glazed with rain water
beside the white chickens.

And then, also, my brain rambled on from Williams to Kilmer:

“poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree…”

And then, thinking of red, and rain water, and trees and poems, I thought, “Poets as well.”
God made poets.
Have you thought of that? He made such a profoundly beautiful world.
And then He put poets in it as well, to help us see the beauty.
An exclamation point.
