Dawn at the Beach

This was over Christmas break.  It was actually chilly enough to me at 6 a.m. that I wrapped up in a beach towel, but I think I have acclimated a bit.  It was probably only 27 C, or around 80 F.

Very tranquil . Did it get crowded later? And the shells are lovely! I remember a beach in St Pete that was full of shells – not sure why they didn’t get washed out again by the tide.

Just coming out of the deep freeze here. And in Australia the roads are melting. I think I prefer the freeze – can bundle up, but cooling down is a whole other problem (as you know!)

    Happy New Year!

It was never crowded. There were never more than a dozen people on the beach. Filipinos don’t sun themselves (most Asians don’t), so if they weren’t in the sea they were back in the shade of covered picnic tables under trees, in the pool, or in their rooms. But it wasn’t very crowded anyway.
