Circles

He drew a circle that shut me out —
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that took him in.

Charles Edwin Ansom Markham

I am not that nice. I am not that people oriented. Mainly, I am not that energetic. If somebody draws a circle that shuts me out, unless we’re talking about a child, I tend to keep doing what I am doing, and let them.

Yeah, I let them too. I have on a few occasions noticed people who keep earnestly knocking on those doors, (and the ones I’m thinking of have succeeded) and I have admired them for it. But that is not me.

Yes- I greatly admire those who do it. I haven’t the energy.
