The Boy walked with his classmates at the private school he’s been attention part time since we moved to the Philippines.  We gave him a diploma.  What I am saying here is that tonight I handed him a piece of paper marking the end of my 29th consecutive year of homeschooling.

Aren’t I supposed to get a watch or something?

I think you deserve a watch, at least! Do you like watches, though? Maybe a bouquet of flowers and a hanky, beautifully embroidered would be more appropriate. The hanky to blow your nose on when you tear up from the nostalgia and awareness of a job well done, and the flowers so you can blame allergies for the tears. Congratulations! (Or whatever were supposed to say at a time like this. I hardly ever know what is expected of me.)

Congratulations on the end of your homeschooling! I am a long-time follower of your blog, although I haven’t commented more than once or twice. May your post homeschooling years be blessed!

Congratulations. What an amazing achievement – 29 years. I think long service leave would be appropriate. Praying for safety and peace during this time of conflict in your country. You would be surprised how often I hear your voice in my mind, reminding me to go for a walk with my kids.

I’m there with you, my younger daughter graduates tomorrow. I will be officially retiring after 15 years of homeschooling.

Yes, really. Although I have talked him into letting me read aloud a couple short stories and an essay every day until he leaves for the US.

Well, good for you! You have done a magnificent job, from what I can tell. 😉 And you have honored the Lord and brought Him glory, better yet!
        Always, always, always learning…
