Cowboy Birthday Craft

I used the cowboy template from made by Joel. There’s another cowboy and horse you could do, too.

i just cut the legs and arms separately, cut them out of a manilla file folder, poked holes with a thumbtack, then put brads/brass fasteners through them, and called it done.  The Birthday Boy didn’t want any coloring other than faces, which he did himself.

I had such poor luck with the horse (I can’t print, I’m tracing or drawing freehand) that I am almost too embarrassed to show you, and that was with Jenny’s help to finish the horse’s head. And it still didn’t really work.

But then I thought of a toilet paper roll, found a horse-head stencil, and used closepins for the legs.

I had to cut a slit in the back of the horse to make the cowboy fit. I adjusted sizes of my various templates on the paint program on the computer.

He’s pretty pleased.  In fact, he said it’s his best birthday present, EVER.
