Rubber Bullets VS cheap ear plugs

Apparently this is a cheap shot, but I kinda feel like if you’re on the ground as a reporter at a scene where rubber bullets and tear gas have been reportedly fired by the police onto civilians, you might take a minute or two to inform yourself on the difference between rubber bullets, and, um, ear plugs.

If you work for Huffpo, not so much (one more reason not to trust Huffpo reporters), it seems.  Ryan Reilly, thanks for being a distraction for the L&O crowd so they don’t have to believe that militarizing the police force is a problem, because you made it (and yourself) a joke.

Cheap shot? Yes. Remember when the press mocked Bush I for his awe at the sight of a grocery store scanner? That was evidence of how out of touch he was, right? He had not shopped for groceries since before the introduction of the scanning technology.
Out of touch? Yes. The reporter has never used a firearm. Nomilitary experience, obviously. Never worked in the engine room. Never used a two-cycle leaf blower, chain saw, string trimmer, or lawn mower.

Exactly- no gun experience, no blue collar experience, no common use of what are regular tools for other people, nor any real living experience with those other people (I don’t use chain saws or lawn mowers, either, but I live with people who do).
