Most Dangerous Weapons

Kristen Gwynne, because she deserves full credit, wrote a most remarkable article for the Rolling Stone.

The five most dangerous guns in America.  Apparently, it’s all of them, except machine guns. They did not make the list.  What did? Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns…. and Derringers.

I had no idea these objects were running around in wild packs with free agency of their own.  That is indeed dangerous, and also scary.  Who knew guns were like the car Christine in the Stephen King movie, or Chuckie the doll?

I read the list to my son.  He said it reminds him of the five things that get guys in the most trouble:

  1. Doing things
  2. Not doing things
  3. Thinking about doing things
  4. Thinking about not doing things
  5. Sharing this list with their wives or mothers

Read the comments at Rolling Stone- they are a hoot.  For example:

GAAPGirl • an hour ago:

Lol. Morons.
1. Pistols
2. Other pistols
3. Rifles
4. Shotguns
5. Tiny pistols from the 1920′s

Just say all guns are dangerous and save yourselves some embarrassment. You have become the MTV of music magazines.

And thanks to Ace, who has a couple good lists of his own to share, too.

Ooh, five most dangerous shapes:

Rectangles

Squares

Polygons

Cubes

My husband and I sat up past our bedtime last night laughing at those comments.

Better be on the lookout for those dangerous riverboat gamblers.
