Before Spring

The camera lens is not smudged. The lens is not out of focus. This is what it looks like around us when the temperature warms up a bit after cold weather, and especially after it’s rained. We had thunderstorms this morning, and we had better visibility while it was raining. now we have fog.

This is looking our our garage door toward the field, the hundred acre woods and the highway.  We can’t even seen the field.  In fact, it all disappeared into the ghostly ether in about 15 minutes.  I feel like Brigadoon.

This one is looking up toward our mail box and the field across the street.  That field has apparently vanished, and nothing is left by the white cotton world of the tiny box that seemingly encloses us.

I don’t know why, but this ‘season’ always makes me think of ‘The Strayaway Child:’

We live in the mountains of eastern PA. We have tons of snow. I feel that after the rains,we too will have fog and lots of it, the sort where you can’t see across the street.
