for instance, why not “Harry Reid rejects House compromise bill that would have delayed ObamaCare for all Americans, not just big business.” Or howabout, “Harry Reid vows to shut down the government over Republican attempt at a CR compromise” From there, we can start getting more pointed: “Obama/Reid tell the American people it’s either accept ObamaCare as is or the Senate will not approve measures to keep the government running” – See more at: http://proteinwisdom.com/#sthash.NdwvZ2Do.dpuf
Why aren’t we seeing news articles framed this way? It’s just as accurate.
This is why, of course:
MSNBC sr analyst admits the Press is largely sympathetic to Obama’s spin on shutdown: http://www.caintv.com/idiotic-cnn-poll-yields-shocki
Senate kills bill to fund government. Guess which party controls the Senate? Guess which party will be blamed.http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/30/shutdown-showdown-senate-kills-house-spending-bill/
This is awesome. Veterans reclaim their memorial from Obama’s shutdown theatricals: http://ace.mu.nu/archives/343821.phpThere’s even video. I’m seriously proud of our vets.
Why we know this is theatrics- it took MORE gov’t work to barricade the memorial than to just let it alone.http://ace.mu.nu/archives/343817.php
Dr. Ben Carson’s 1st encounter with IRS came after challenging Obama at prayer breakfast. Surely, just coincidence. LIke all the other IRS scandals this year.http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/01/ben-carson-i-had-my-first-encounter-with-the-irs-following-the-national-prayer-breakfast/
Guess Who? in 2006 a young Democratic senator voted against raising the limit to a comparatively paltry $8.965 trillion.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303918804579107221209730080.html?mod=WSJ_Opinion_MIDDLETopOpinion
Disgusting. Once again, Our ‘peace prize winner’ Prez waives ban on aid to regimes using child soldiers.
This is what affordable health care looks like,
Gov’t Health Care website not functioning on its first day out.http://twitchy.com/2013/10/01/heckuva-job-healthcaregov-shamed-into-apology-after-touting-glitchy-o-care-website/ And more LOLS http://twitchy.com/2013/10/01/hilarious-dnc-touts-what-affordable-care-looks-like-citizens-fixed-it-for-you-dnc-pics/
INSPECTOR GENERAL: IRS Disclosed Sensitive Taxpayer Information and Withheld Legitimate FOIA Responses. Unbelievable. Yet there are still uninformed Progressives who believe it’s a nonscandal, mostly out of a single Ohio office. People who can’t read are sad. People won’t read are maddening.http://nation.foxnews.com/2013/09/30/ig-irs-disclosed-sensitive-taxpayer-information
AWww, DC worried that shutdown may cause them to finally feel the pinch of recession. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/10/01/dc-worries-will-shutdown-mean-were-finally-going-to-feel-the-recession/
I know I am grieving the loss of Panda Cam.
“If you don’t obtain coverage or an exemption by January 1st, 2014 you must pay a per-month fee on your federal income tax return for every month you are without health insurance.
Whoa Whoa Whoa… If I don’t have insurance because I can’t afford it and I don’t get insurance because I can’t afford it, I’m going to pay a fee for not getting something I can’t afford to buy…? It’s kind of like charging me a fee for *not* spending money I don’t have. “http://shelleybroadway.wordpress.com/2013/09/30/what-every-american-should-know-minus-the-parts-we-dont-want-you-to-know/
Hypotethetical situation in Congress (hypothetical because I don’t want to look up the actual numbers): Party A wants programs x, y, and z funded at an increase of 200%.
Part B wants one of them cut completely, doesn’t want to increase spending on one at all, and only wants to increase spending on the third at about 20%.
However, Party B agrees to refund all government programs, giving all of them an increase, only the increase is at 50% instead of 200%.
Progressive leftist claims party B did no compromising at all because it’s congress’s job to ‘fund the government.’ Apparently, at any level and for any program party A demands….
This is a real argument I saw made by an otherwise smart, but blinded by his ideology, man today. Apparently, saying no to anything is failing in their duty to ‘fund the government,’ which, it seems, means writing the gov’t a blank check.
