A friend recommended this book to me knowing I had a few dietary issues. It was an easy book to read, clear and concise. I liked the emphasis on making changes gradually; changing what you can easily change “just be better” rather than focusing on being “pure” – it made it seem doable instantly. The section on planning ahead and tips on preparation of meals was really useful. There’s also some good advice on being able to ‘eat clean’ while eating out too. As a breakfast skipper I found the stats in Chapter 7around BMI in relation to skipping breakfast a much needed push to prioritise that meal. I found the information on ‘alcohol’ extremely sobering. With a view to a more energetic and enjoyable life I’m looking forward to putting some of my newly learnt principles into practice.
The recipes contained in this ebook are all low fat recipes our family have enjoyed for years. More recently, our family has adopted a more “fiber oriented” diet that focuses on super grains like Kamet, Spelt, Chia seeds and of course Quinoa. I have personally had formal training in both the UK and in Germany, in the areas of science and nutrition while at university, and have developed this book based on my scientifically based low fat combinations of food groups. The health benefits of Quinoa are incredible, and I thought it would be important for me to pass on the wealth to my family, and now to the world.
