Last week we started a new feature on the blog… Thrifty Tuesday, sharing great thrift store (or yard sale, or rummage sale) finds. It’s a virtual show & tell, and I *love* seeing all the wonderful things that can come out of thrift shops!
Why, yes, that is Lands’ End tag! We love their stuff new (especially when paired with ebates), but there is no doubt that the price tag on their merchandise can be a bit straining to a tight bank account. So when I saw this dress at a thrift shop this week, I knew it was a good buy!
This is not the best picture in the world of it… I’m sorry. I was holding a very sick and sleepy Princess Peach (we are on our second round of an abominable stomach bug and it’s wreaking havoc on my sweet baby girl; her older brother is just now getting over it). I wanted to show the general style of the dress. It’s for the Cherub, which is another reason I was so excited at finding it. Because of some sizing issues she’s got, it can be difficult to find her clothes that fit well, are comfortable, *and* pretty. The DHM ordered her a few new outfits from Lands’ End in this style for Christmas so I knew it was a good one.
Here’s a better picture of the print on the fabric. Isn’t it prettyful? I wish I had something with this material! Brand new, not on sale, dresses like these can cost $30 at the LE website. The Cherub’s? Under $4. That’s what you call a sweeeet deal.
What about you? what have you found at a thrift shop recently? Please share a linky on your blog so
I we can see it! I see myself spending a lot of time on the couch today, snuggling a sick little one, and I would love to getting to see your finds while doing it!
