Ted Nugent uses logic, common sense and facts. Pierce basically uses- um, wild generalizations and emotional badgering without any regard for facts.
That entire ‘just to save one would be worth it’ is just a bankrupt idea.
Pierce also has absolutely no grasp of the 2nd amendment. Thanks to Perry Coghlan III for the link. He’s the husband of Kim C over at Life in a Shoe.
Updated to add this link to Daniel Foster explaining his answer to the question, “Who needs an AR-15?”
It’s a good enough answer, but I think it’s the wrong question. This is the second amendment:
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
Demanding that I first somehow justify myself to the likes of Pierce Morgan or David Letterman, let alone the government, to ‘prove’ I have the right to keep and bear arms, is an infringement. The only proof we need give is the second amendment itself- in this country, it is a right of the people to keep and bear arms. There’s nothing in there that says I have to justify my right to this freedom first.
