Armchair Travel

Pip says that right now a round trip ticket to Dublin from JFK airport is only 480 dollars.  She can’t go because she’ll be in the middle of classes, but she picked up a lot of travel guides to Ireland via Paperback swap.

If I could go anywhere in the world right now, it’d be Korea, for no better reason that just because.

The FYG and Boy currently are interested in England.

Where would you go?

London! I’ve been wanting to go back for years, but it’s so expensive. I’d also like to visit Yorkshire because my ancestors lived there before moving to America in the late 1700s. Marrakesh also seems like a neat place.

China! I’d like to walk around the Summer Palace and pretend to be the Empress CiCi. One day. I’d also love to go to the Holy Lsnd.

Oh, yes, England. I’m an Anglophile from way back. Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Cambridge, The Tower, Westminster Abbey, etc.

Virginia, or “Brigina” as my four year old names it. Hubs is there and we are here. That’s where my heart would lead.

My sense of adventure would lead me on a walking trip of Hadrian’s Wall.

New Zealand and Japan! Because they are beautiful and so different from anywhere I’ve been before.

Well, I LOVE the Maldives, but really anywhere with diving and childcare suits me! :-)
Anyone seriously interested in England/UK drop me a line. I’m here in heritage Oxford, so that might be worth something to someone! :-)
(If the FYG and The Boy need a crashpad while they’re planning their travels……..)
