Miscellany from the HG

… I told Strider a few weeks ago, “We should have a yard sale!” And he said, “you’re crazy.” Now that we’re less than 24 hours from the event, I am realizing his assessment was an accurate one. Oh well. It will be a good experience, I’m sure. I’m counting this as a trial run for future yard sales at our new home.

It’s getting to be a bit late in the season, but I found this page to be a helpful (and fun) one for yard sale ideas (although, caveat: some other pages on her site have things that are a bit strong for delicate CR sensibilities).

Tomorrow is supposed to be pleasantly warm and sunny, which is exciting to hear… instead of pleasant, we’ve had miserably hot for weeks upon weeks. I just read a post about making dandelion jelly recently, and it sounds so wonderful…. if there were dandelions to be had. You know it’s a rough summer when even the dandelions have thrown in the towel.

The Princess Peach spent the last two days fighting naps and being generally crabby. Yesterday afternoon, she figured out crawling. She’s still not efficient at it, but she gets places. Today: She’s sleeping a ridiculous amount. It’s 6 pm and she’s been sleeping for four hours. Oooooh dear, hope tonight goes well.

I have a feeling there was something else I intended to post about, but it’s left m’brain and I probably should get back to yard sale pricing and sorting again….

“It sounded like a better idea at the time” sounds like the epitet for my life right now.

With my children, a change in sleep habits to worse than normal *always* meant that soon they would learn something new or do something they couldn’t. So it makes perfect sense to me that Princess Peach would start crawling and return to good sleeping.
